Requirements for 11th Grade:
✹ Attend fall Junior meeting ✹ Participate in at least 2 college tours. ✹ Attend MEP ACT practice test workshop ✹ Individual conferences with MEP counselor (Done in the spring) ✹ Create resume ✹ PSAT Test ✹ Take either the ACT or SAT in the spring of Junior year ✹ Career Research Guide ✹ Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2. 5 or higher (3.0+ GPA highly recommended) ✹ 6 Year Plan
Requirements for 12th Grade:
✹ Fall/Spring senior meeting ✹ Resume ✹ Two or more letters of recommendations written for college admissions ✹ Personal typed general essay about yourself ✹ Complete FAFSA application ✹ Turn in Financial Aid Award Letter to MEP staff ✹ Turn in three College Applications ✹ Attend MEP Senior Financial Aid Night ✹ Apply for at least 3 scholarships ✹ Confirm with the college you plan to attend ✹ Take the ACT or SAT test (Must complete by end of October) ✹ College Fair Night ✹ Career Guide ✹ Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher (3.0+ GPA highly recommended) ✹ Have a mininum of: * 4 years of English * 3 years of Social Studies (1 yr Geography and 1 yr U.S. History) * 3 years of Science * 3 years of math * 1 year of art * 2 years of a same foreign language
Students who do not meet requirements will be withdrawn from the program. Juniors may reapply within one school year with evidence of a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. |
